Privacy policy

Neev is software for civil contractors, operated by ByteFlow Technologies Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”). This policy explains in plain language what information we hold, why, where it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible for what

A contractor firm that signs up (“the customer”) decides what goes into its account — projects, vendors, bills, photos, team members. For that business data the customer is in charge, and we process it on the customer's behalf to run the service. For the sign-in details of each user (name and mobile number) and for our own billing records, we are responsible.

What we collect

  • Account details: the firm's name, address, GSTIN and PAN if entered, and each user's name, mobile number and role.
  • Business records the customer enters: projects, BOQ, indents, purchase orders, receipts, stock, measurements, bills, payments, daily reports, documents and photos. Photos may carry the location captured at the time of entry if the user allows it.
  • Vendor details entered by the customer, including bank account numbers, which are stored encrypted.
  • Technical data needed to keep accounts secure: sign-in times, the device's IP address and browser type, and failed sign-in attempts.

We do not run advertising trackers on the application and we do not sell or rent data to anyone.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service: show the right records to the right people and produce documents such as POs and RA bills.
  • To sign users in with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS, or with a password they set.
  • To keep the service secure, investigate misuse and keep an activity log of changes inside each account.
  • To contact the customer about their account, plan and support requests.

Where the data is stored

Data is stored on servers located in India and operated by ByteFlow Technologies Pvt Ltd. Connections to the service are encrypted. Uploaded files are kept outside the public web folder and are served only to signed-in users of the same account.

How accounts are kept apart

Every record belongs to one customer account, and every screen, report and file request is checked against that account on the server. One firm cannot see another firm's data. Inside a firm, the owner decides each person's role and which projects they can see.

Who else sees it

  • The customer's own team members, according to the roles the owner gives them.
  • Service providers we use to run the service — for example the hosting provider and the SMS gateway that delivers OTPs — only to the extent they need to do that job.
  • Authorities, when we are required to share information by law or by a valid order.

How long we keep it

Business records are kept for as long as the customer's account is open. If an account is closed, we keep the data for up to 90 days so it can be exported or restored, and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep certain records (for example our own invoices) for longer.

Your rights

  • See and correct your own name and contact details from Settings, or ask us to do it.
  • Ask for a copy of your firm's data in a common format such as Excel or CSV (account owners).
  • Ask us to close the account and delete the data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Withdraw permission for location capture at any time in your phone's settings.
  • Raise a complaint with us about how your data is handled.

Cookies

The application uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account owners inside the application.
